Last time I did a junkyard motor swap was 2020 and it ran 2500 cdn for the used long block. Motor lasted my friend for 10000km before cylinder 3 yeeted itself. I did a swap before that and I’m still using that block today total mileage on that one is over 250000km. No consumption, compression on all at 180+, leakdown less than 15% on all. My leakdown test was false because probably not on the good TDC for the 2 and 4 cylinders. So I think my exhaust valves was open so that make false results. Ill redo the test when ill put back my turbo. But results for 1 and 3 was pretty good, only 1% of leak. But theorically, if compression test is good, all is supposed to be good no?
